Storage shed space:
You need to figure out what you plan on using the garden storage shed for. Is it going to be for storage or for a workspace, or maybe a combination of both. Make sure you measure what you will be storing inside, if you will also be using is for a work station, be sure to leave plenty of room to move around freely. It is always a good idea to buy a little bigger than intended, trust me you’ll grow into it.

The most popular choice must be wood sheds. You can paint and shingle these sheds to jazz them up a bit. They can resits strong weather and heavy snow.
Foundation type. The most common foundations used are slab and skid. A concrete slab foundation will be permanent unlike a skid. With skid foundation it is more common for garden sheds, the shed is portable in case it ever needs to be moved. Your foundation will be determined by how you plan to use your shed.

the location of your shed can be largely determined by how sunlight will affect your shed. If it has windows, extra light can be brought it but also heat. Do you want the shed visible or away in the back. Make sure you are aware of your local zoning codes which can include set backs from fences, the property line and buildings.
